  • ReWild the Kids: Intro to Pond Fishing

The intro to pond fishing session will introduce kids to the basics of fishing for warmer water species such as sunnies, large mouth bass, and crappie. Students will learn the basics of fishing over the course of 4 days. This class will cover fishing safety, equipment, technique, bait choices, specific species information, and hopefully the catching, proper handling, and releasing of fish…fish catching is not guaranteed! Each session will emphasize a connection, appreciation, and respect for our environment. Be sure to click on the appropriate age group when signing up. *A Pennsylvania Voluntary Youth Fishing License is suggested but not required.

  • ReWild the Kids: Intro to Hiking

The intro to hiking session is a great way to introduce your child to nature and keep them in touch with their own wellbeing. This session emphasizes the idea of “Smiles, not miles.” This session will cover trail etiquette, nature connection, and of course, cover some ground on a daily hike. Hikers should be able to casually hike approximately 1.5 to 3 miles. There will be frequent stops to explore and observe objects of the forest as well. Hikers will need proper footwear (sneakers), a water bottle, and a snack. Creek crossings, mud, and a getting wet is almost a guarantee. A small backpack or hip pack is highly recommend.

  • ReWild the Kids: Intro to Trout Fishing

The intro to trout fishing session will introduce kids to the basics of fishing for trout. This colder water species requires different tactics, baits, and lures in comparison to fishing a pond for bass and sunnies. Students will learn the basics of trout fishing over 4 days. This session will emphasize fishing safety, identifying trout habit, equipment, technique, and hopefully catching, proper handling, and releasing…fish catching is not guaranteed! This session will also emphasize a connection, appreciation, and respect for our environment. Be sure to click on the appropriate age group when signing up. *A Pennsylvania Voluntary Youth Fishing License is suggested but not required.
